Up next: DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movies) Memorial Day Weekend Marathon!

Graduation is approaching soon, but are we really excited for that? I’m not! Besides the county swimming pool grand opening, get ready to set up your DVR’s, buy some VHS or DVD disks to record, or hey don’t find a real job. Well– find a job after Memorial Weekend. You’ll thank me later.

To celebrate Disney’s 100th movie, Adventures in Babysitting, Disney channel will be airing all 99 movies during this Memorial 3-day weekend.

I told you. I’ll accept that “thanks” now.

The 3-day marathon will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 27th and last until Monday, May 30th. The last movie to air will be at 3:35a.m.

The only weird part about this marathon is the order the movies will be played. I have a strict OCD problem, but Disney is playing the movies in random order. I was hoping for a chronological order.

I’m looking forward to watching some of the early 2000’s movies like Smart House, which is about a boy who wins an automated dream house, oh, and don’t forget the Zenon trilogy. I would break into that hit song, “Supernova Girl”! I also loved the movie Camp Rock with the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato.

The entire schedule of the marathon can be found on Ew.com.

But wait, there’s more Disney Live-Action coming our way!

Disney is on a roll! Disney is giving more live-action films by 2019.

After the success of The Jungle Book, Alice in Wonderland, and Maleficent, Disney has decided to make more live-action films. The recent film The Jungle Book brought in over $533 million and is still going strong even internationally.

Although we want to see another live-action 101 Dalmatians movie, Disney is creating a movie called Cruella de Vil which will star Emma Stone. The live-action film will focus on the origins of the character.

Walt Disney Studios confirmed that it will release nine live-action films currently in production. BEST NEWS EVERRRR!

The film Tinkerbell will star Reese Witherspoon, Dumbo will be directed by Tim Burton, and Maleficent 2 will continue with Angelina Jolie.

Which Disney news are you excited about?
